Dahua XVR1A08 8-Channel Cooper DVR

The XVR1A08 is Dahua's entry-level 8-channel recorder, and it suits sites that want to keep costs down or reuse coaxial cable already in the walls. It automatically detects HDCVI, AHD, TVI, and older analogue (CVBS) cameras, and can also take IP cameras: up to 8 + 2 channels, each up to 5 MP, in IP mode.

Recording is in 1080N or 720p with H.264 compression. The first channel records at full frame rate; the other seven run at reduced frame rates at the highest settings, which is fine for general monitoring but worth knowing if you need smooth video on every camera. HDCVI cameras can sit up to 800 m away at 1080p over coax.

One SATA bay holds up to a 6 TB drive, and HDMI and VGA outputs run at 1080p. Remote viewing works over Dahua's P2P service on your phone.

For larger or higher-resolution systems we usually recommend a PoE NVR instead, and we will tell you which fits your site.
