Dahua IPC-HFW1230S 2MP IR Bullet IP Camera

The IPC-HFW1230S is a solid, affordable 1080p IP bullet camera from Dahua's Lite range, for general outdoor coverage on homes, shops, and small business premises.

It records 2 MP (1080p) with H.265 and H.264 encoding, so it works efficiently with modern Dahua NVRs and remains compatible with older ones. Infrared covers up to 30 m at night.

It takes power and data over a single network cable (PoE), which simplifies installation: no separate power supply or socket is needed at the camera. The housing is IP67-rated for outdoor mounting on walls, gates, and poles.

It is a sensible choice for covering building sides, walkways, and yards. For entrances where faces must be identified against bright light, we would use a WDR model instead. We set up recording, motion alerts, and phone viewing on your NVR.
