The PFS4218-16ET-190 is a 16-port Layer 2 managed PoE switch built for surveillance networks. It has 16 100Mbps PoE ports and two gigabit combo uplinks, each usable as copper or SFP fibre, to connect to an NVR or core switch. The total PoE budget is 190W. Ports 1 and 2 are high-power ports for PTZ cameras: up to 90W 802.3bt on current hardware. The other ports supply up to 30W.
Long-distance mode extends PoE to 250 metres, at reduced speed, which avoids extra switches on long cable runs. PoE watchdog restarts a camera that has frozen, saving a site visit. Intelligent PoE sheds the highest-numbered ports first if the power budget is exceeded.
It is managed through a web interface, CLI, or SNMP. It runs on 100–240V AC and operates from -10 to 55°C. It suits a 16-camera IP system, with headroom on the high-power ports for one or two PTZs.
