Tuya MoS-Q12 3D Face ID Smart Door Lock

The MoS-Q12 is a front-door lock for homes and apartments where residents want to walk up and be let in without reaching for a key or phone. It recognises registered faces in 3D and unlocks without contact, and a fingerprint reader gives a second fast way in.

It connects to the Tuya Smart app over Wi-Fi directly, so there is no separate gateway to install. From the app you can unlock remotely, for example to let in a relative or a cleaner, and check who has come and gone.

Before fitting any smart lock we check the door itself: its thickness, the existing mortise, and whether the door opens left or right, so the lock body and handle suit the door rather than being forced onto it. We then enrol each resident's face and fingerprint, set up the app on the household's phones, and show everyone how to use the backup entry options before we leave.
