Baofeng BF-H5 Plus 10W Tri-Band Two-Way Radio

The BF-H5 Plus is a flexible, higher-power handheld radio covering three bands: VHF (136–174 MHz), 200–260 MHz, and UHF (400–520 MHz). Up to 10 W of output helps on large or open sites such as farms, estates, and construction projects, and lower power levels save battery at short range.

It stores 128 channels, supports both wide (25 kHz) and narrow (12.5 kHz) channel spacing, and has an LCD menu for day-to-day use. A built-in FM radio receiver covers 65–108 MHz.

The wide frequency coverage is useful, but it also means the radio must be set up carefully. Programme it only to the frequencies your organisation is licensed to use, and lock the settings so users cannot drift onto other channels.

We programme and lock each unit before handover, assign channels by team, and test range across your site, since walls, terrain, and antenna height all affect how far these radios reach.
