Dahua XVR5208/16AN-4KL-X-8/16P 8/16-Channel Penta-brid DVR with PoC

The XVR5208/16AN-4KL-X-8/16P is a Dahua penta-brid recorder, available in 8- and 16-channel versions. Its BNC inputs accept HDCVI (up to 4K), AHD, TVI, and analogue cameras, and it takes 4 or 8 IP cameras as well (up to 12 or 24 if analogue channels are switched to IP), each up to 8 MP.

Its standout feature is power over coax (PoC). Dahua HDCVI PoC cameras take power through the same coaxial cable as their video, so no separate power cable or adapter is needed at the camera. It supplies 48 W (8-channel) or 96 W (16-channel) in total, enough for 8/16 standard or 4/8 higher-power PoC cameras.

It records up to 4K at reduced frame rates and 4M-N or 1080p at full frame rate, with H.265+ compression. Two SATA bays take drives of up to 10 TB each. It supports face detection with compatible cameras and outputs to HDMI (up to 4K) and VGA.

We size the hard drives to how many days of recording you need to keep, and connect the recorder to a UPS or inverter so it keeps recording through power cuts.
