The Imou LOOC IPC-C26EP is a compact Wi-Fi camera designed to warn intruders off, not just record them. When its PIR sensor detects body heat and motion, it can switch on a spotlight and sound a 110 dB siren, and you can speak through the built-in speaker from the Imou Life app.
It records 1080p from a 1/2.7-inch sensor using H.265, with a wide 2.8 mm lens (111° horizontal). Infrared covers about 10 m at night, suited to a porch, backyard, or shop entrance rather than a large compound.
It connects over Wi-Fi, stores footage on a microSD card, and is rated IP65 for sheltered outdoor use.
PIR detection makes alerts more reliable than pixel-based motion detection, because it reacts to warm bodies rather than moving shadows. We check Wi-Fi strength at the mounting point before fitting, since a weak signal is the main cause of these cameras dropping offline.
