Imou by Dahua IPC-G26EP 1080p Wi-Fi Bullet Camera with Siren

The IPC-G26EP adds active deterrence to a standard outdoor camera. When it detects motion, it can switch on its spotlight and sound a 110 dB siren, warning an intruder that they have been seen, rather than only recording what happens.

It records 1080p from a 2 MP sensor using H.265, with a wide 2.8 mm lens. Infrared covers up to 30 m at night, and the IP67 housing is built for walls, gates, and outbuildings.

It connects over Wi-Fi, which saves running network cable to every position, or over its Ethernet port where Wi-Fi is weak. Footage can be saved to a microSD card in the camera, and everything is managed from the Imou Life app. It needs a 12 V DC power supply.

For Wi-Fi cameras we check signal strength at each mounting point first, and add an outdoor access point where needed, because a weak signal is the most common reason these cameras drop offline.
