Dahua IPC-HDW1431S 4MP Eyeball IP Camera

The IPC-HDW1431S is an affordable way to move from 1080p to 4 MP on an IP system. It records 2688 × 1520 at 20 fps, or 3 MP at 25/30 fps, from a 1/3-inch sensor, with H.265 compression to keep storage use low.

The 2.8 mm lens gives a wide view of a room, shop, or compound, and infrared covers up to 30 m at night. The eyeball design is easy to aim and mounts neatly on walls and ceilings, indoors or under outdoor cover, with an IP67-rated housing.

It takes power and data over one network cable (PoE), connecting to a PoE switch or NVR.

At 4 MP, faces and details are sharper than 1080p across the same area, which is why we often use this model at shop counters, receptions, and gates on budget systems. We set up recording and phone viewing on a Dahua NVR.
