Dahua NVR2104HS-P-4KS2 4-Channel 4-PoE 4K Compact NVR

The NVR2104HS-P-4KS2 is a compact 4-channel Dahua recorder for homes, flats, small shops, and offices. Each IP camera plugs into one of its four PoE ports for power and video over a single cable.

It has 80 Mbps of incoming bandwidth and previews and plays back cameras up to 8 MP. Despite the "1080P" in the listing name, its HDMI output reaches 4K, with a simultaneous VGA output. Smart H.265+ compression reduces storage use compared with standard H.265 and H.264.

One SATA bay holds the recordings. It works with Dahua and ONVIF-compatible IP cameras and connects to the DMSS app for remote viewing and alerts.

Its small case fits a shelf, wardrobe, or small cabinet. If you may add more cameras later, the 8-channel NVR2108HS-8P-4KS2 leaves room to grow. We size the hard drives to how many days of recording you need to keep, and connect the recorder to a UPS or inverter so it keeps recording through power cuts.
