Hikvision DS-2CD2023G0-I 2MP IR Bullet Network Camera

The DS-2CD2023G0-I is a 2 MP outdoor bullet camera for homes, shops, and compounds that need dependable 1080p coverage of gates, driveways, walls, and car parks. It is the 2 MP sibling of the DS-2CD2043G0-I, with the same features at a lower resolution and cost.

It uses a 1/2.8-inch sensor with colour down to 0.01 lux at F1.2, 120 dB WDR for gates and doors facing the sun, and infrared up to 30 m in full darkness. Lens options are 2.8 mm (a 103° view), 4, 6, and 8 mm.

Line crossing, intrusion, and face detection are built in, so alerts can be limited to people entering a defined area. A microSD slot backs up recordings locally, and H.265+ compression reduces storage use.

The housing is rated IP67, and it takes power over PoE, so one network cable carries power and video. We choose the lens for each position, mount cameras out of easy reach, and set up alerts and phone viewing.
