Hikvision DS-2CD2145FWD-I 4MP DarkFighter Dome IP Camera

The DS-2CD2145FWD-I is the dome we recommend where lighting at night is poor: estate streets, car parks, compound perimeters, and entrances lit only by a single bulb. Hikvision's DarkFighter technology keeps images in colour down to very low light (0.014 lux), and infrared takes over up to 30 m in complete darkness.

It records 4 MP (2688 × 1520) from a 1/2.7-inch sensor, noticeably sharper than 2 MP when you need to identify faces or number plates. A 120 dB wide dynamic range handles bright backgrounds, and H.265+ keeps storage in check.

A built-in microSD slot (up to 128 GB) can hold a local copy of footage if the network link to the recorder drops. The housing is IP67 and IK10 rated for outdoor and exposed positions.

We choose the lens width for each position, from wide 2.8 mm to narrower lenses for long views, and set up recording on a Hikvision NVR.
