The IPC-HDBW2230E-S-S2 is a compact, tough dome for places where a camera might be knocked, tampered with, or struck: lift lobbies, stairwells, car park ceilings, and low entrance canopies. Its housing is rated IK10 against impact and IP67 against water and dust.
It records 2 MP (1080p) using H.265 to keep storage use down, with digital WDR to handle bright doorways. Infrared covers up to 30 m in darkness.
A microSD slot (up to 256 GB) can keep a local copy of footage on the camera itself, useful as a backup if the network link to the recorder is interrupted. It is powered over the network cable (PoE).
Domes also make it harder for anyone to see which way the camera is pointing. We mount them on ceilings or walls at a height and angle that covers the area without glare from lights, and record them on a Dahua NVR with phone viewing.
