The XVR5108H-4KL-X-8P is an 8-channel 4K recorder from Dahua's Lite series with PoC (Power over Coax) built in. PoC HDCVI cameras draw power over the same coax that carries their video, so no separate power supply or cable is needed at each camera. That saves time and cost on new installs and rewires.
Its 48W PoC budget powers up to eight AF-class or four AT-class PoC cameras. Power runs up to 400 metres at 1080P or 300 metres at 4MP. PoC does not work through baluns, so we use direct coax runs. Non-PoC HDCVI, AHD, TVI, and CVBS cameras also work, and it takes four extra IP cameras up to 8MP, twelve in total.
Recording runs from 4K at up to 7fps to 4MP at up to 15fps, with Smart H.265+ compression. It has one SATA bay for a drive of up to 10TB, HDMI output at 4K plus VGA, and a gigabit network port. It runs from a 53V DC supply.
