Hikvision DS-2CD1047G0-L 4MP ColorVu Bullet IP Camera

Most cameras switch to black-and-white infrared after dark. The DS-2CD1047G0-L uses Hikvision's ColorVu approach instead: a very wide F1.0 lens gathers far more light, and a built-in warm light fills in when it is fully dark, so night footage stays in colour. That matters when you need to know the colour of a car, a uniform, or clothing.

It records 4 MP from a 1/2.7-inch sensor, rated for colour down to 0.001 lux. H.265+ compression keeps storage manageable, and the IP67 housing is built for outdoor mounting on walls, gates, and poles.

Power comes over the network cable (PoE, 802.3af, up to 6.5 W) or from 12 V DC.

The visible light is also a deterrent, but it does light up the area, so we position these away from neighbours' windows and bedrooms. We pair them with a Hikvision NVR and set up recording and phone viewing.
