Hikvision DS-7608NI-Q2/8P 8-Channel 8-PoE 4K NVR

The DS-7608NI-Q2/8P is an 8-channel Hikvision plug-and-play recorder for homes, shops, and small offices. Each IP camera plugs into one of its eight PoE ports and is powered and set up automatically, which keeps installation simple and tidy.

It records cameras up to 8 MP, with 80 Mbps of incoming bandwidth, and decodes one 8 MP or five 1080p channels at once for live view. HDMI output reaches 4K, with a simultaneous VGA output. PoE supports 802.3af/at cameras, up to 80 W in total.

Two SATA bays (up to 8 TB each) give more storage than most 8-channel recorders, useful for 4K cameras or long retention. H.265+ reduces storage use, and camera-side smart features such as line crossing, intrusion, and people counting are supported.

It runs from a 48 V DC adapter. We size the hard drives to how many days of recording you need to keep, and connect the recorder to a UPS or inverter so it keeps recording through power cuts. Remote viewing is through Hik-Connect.
