ZKTeco BL-852O38S 2MP Motorised Face Detection Bullet Camera

The BL-852O38S is a 2 MP bullet camera from ZKTeco's cost-efficient range, bringing a motorised zoom lens and face detection to budget-conscious projects: estates, schools, shops, and small commercial sites. Its 3.35–10.05 mm lens gives 3x optical zoom, from a wide 101° view to 38°, and is framed remotely after installation.

It records 1080p from a 1/2.9-inch sensor, with Smart IR reaching up to 50 m. Built-in face detection picks out up to 30 faces per frame, and line crossing, intrusion, counting, and tamper detection are also included.

H.265 compression keeps storage down. The metal housing is rated IP67 with 6 kV lightning protection, operates from -30 °C to 60 °C, and draws under 3 W from 12 V DC or PoE (802.3af).

It has no memory card slot, so it records to an NVR. Face detection captures faces for review but does not match them to a list; for recognition, see the BL-852Q38A. We set the zoom and detection zones on site.
