The BL-852Q38A is a 2 MP bullet camera from ZKTeco's BioUltra series that runs face recognition on the camera itself, with no separate server needed. It stores up to 2,000 face templates, so you can build a whitelist (staff, residents) and a blacklist (barred visitors) and get an alert when a listed face appears at a gate, lobby, or entrance.
It uses a 1/2.8-inch Sony STARVIS sensor, sensitive down to 0.001 lux in colour, and a motorised 3.35–10.05 mm lens (3x optical zoom, 107° to 38°) that is framed remotely. Smart IR reaches up to 50 m. Line crossing, intrusion, counting, and abandoned or missing object detection are also built in.
H.265+ compression keeps storage down, and a microSD slot (up to 128 GB) records locally. The metal housing is rated IP67 with 6 kV lightning protection, and it runs on 12 V DC or PoE.
Face recognition is most reliable at controlled entry points with even lighting; we position and angle the camera so faces are captured head-on.
