Dahua IPC-HFW1239S1P-LED-S4 2MP Full-Colour Bullet IP Camera

The IPC-HFW1239S1P-LED-S4 keeps footage in full colour around the clock. Instead of infrared, which produces black-and-white night images, it uses built-in warm light that reaches up to 15 m, so at night you can still see the colour of a car, a uniform, or clothing.

It records 2 MP (1920 × 1080) at 25/30 fps from a 1/2.8-inch sensor, using H.265 to keep file sizes small. The bullet housing is rated IP67 for outdoor mounting on walls, gates, and pillars.

The visible light also acts as a deterrent, since anyone approaching can see the area is lit and watched. The flip side is that it lights up the area, so we position these away from neighbours' windows and bedroom walls.

It suits entrances, gates, and short-range outdoor areas; for long views we would recommend an infrared or Starlight model instead.
