The DS-7224HQHI-K2 is a 24-channel Hikvision Turbo HD recorder for larger analogue camera systems in schools, estates, warehouses, and hotels. Each BNC input accepts HDTVI, AHD, HDCVI, or CVBS cameras. It also takes 2 IP cameras of up to 6MP, rising to 8 in enhanced IP mode, with up to 32 IP channels in total.
All channels can record at 4MP lite, and 4MP inputs record at up to 15fps. H.265 Pro+ compression cuts storage needs compared with H.264. Two SATA bays each take a drive of up to 10TB.
Line crossing and intrusion detection run on 2 channels, or 4 in enhanced VCA mode. They give useful alerts for perimeters and restricted areas. HDTVI signals travel up to 800 metres at 1080p over coax. Outputs are HDMI at up to 4K and VGA. There is a gigabit network port with Hik-Connect for phone viewing, and it runs on 12V DC.
Note: the listing previously called this a 4K recorder. It records 4MP lite; only the HDMI output reaches 4K.
