Iridium 9555 Satellite Phone

The Iridium 9555 connects through Iridium's low-earth-orbit satellite network, which covers the entire planet, including open ocean and polar regions. It works wherever you can see the sky, with no mobile mast needed. That makes it the standard choice for oil and gas crews, offshore vessels, mining exploration, NGOs in remote areas, and emergency back-up communication.

It is a compact handset of about 266g with an integrated antenna, a speakerphone for hands-free calls, and an illuminated display. It sends and receives SMS and short emails as well as voice calls. The battery gives up to 4 hours of talk time or 30 hours on standby.

Airtime needs an Iridium SIM with a prepaid or monthly plan, and we can advise on plans. Calls work most reliably outdoors with a clear view of the sky, because the phone cannot connect from deep inside buildings.
