Hikvision DS-7104NI-K1/W/M 4-Channel Wi-Fi NVR

The DS-7104NI-K1/W/M is the 4-channel version of Hikvision's Wi-Fi recorder, for flats, small homes, kiosks, and shops that need up to four cameras without network cabling. Hikvision Wi-Fi cameras connect straight to the recorder's own wireless network, so each camera only needs a nearby power point.

Its dual external antennas (2 × 2 MIMO) give a steadier signal than single-antenna units, and phones or laptops can also connect to it over Wi-Fi.

It records cameras up to 4 MP, with 50 Mbps of incoming bandwidth, and shows four 1080p channels on simultaneous HDMI and VGA outputs. One SATA bay takes a drive of up to 6 TB, and H.265+ reduces storage use.

If you may add cameras later, the 8-channel DS-7108NI-K1/W/M leaves room to grow. We test Wi-Fi at each camera position before installing. It runs from a 12 V adapter. We size the hard drives to how many days of recording you need to keep, and connect the recorder to a UPS or inverter so it keeps recording through power cuts.
